Quote or Inspirational Story of the Week:

   Attitude
by: Rev. Charles Swindoll, Source Unknown

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, then circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think, say, or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company, a church, a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.

We cannot change our past. We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you. We are in charge of our attitudes.

Invictus Award:

We had swimmers swim at the TAQ meet, the Mako’s meet, and compete in the Crawfishman Triathlon this past weekend.  This week, the Invictus Award goes to 11 year old Lindsey Parkins, who braved a thunder storm (torrential downpour and lighting) and managed to ride the entire bike course (plus a few extra miles- she got lost) of the Crawfishman with courage and a positive attitude. She is an inspiration to us all.

Crawfishman Triathlon:

A special thanks for all those that came out to volunteer at the triathlon. They also braved the elements, and were soaked to the bone, but they all did an awesome job of staying around till the end and cleaning up the muddy transition area.

Crawfish Meet:

Don’t forget Wednesday (May 5th) is the last day to sign up for the Crawfish Meet on May 14-16. This is a team meet, and we expect everyone to attend. Robby will put all of the Seniors in the meet, except those that have notified him of conflicts.

Tiger Aquatics Meet

You can now sign up for the TAQ meet on June 17-20. Please check your calendar, and sign up early. This meet will fill up fast.
